Stacy York Nation, to speak at Big Sandy High School

February 2, 2022

Thanks to Big Sandy Public Schools, we have the incredible opportunity to hear an international speaker here in the comfort of our own high school auditorium on Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Stacy York Nation was born and raised in Wyoming and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology Education from Montana’s own Rocky Mountain College and her Master’s in Social Work from Walla Walla University in Billings. She has worked in mental health services in the school setting. In 2013, after becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she moved to Colorado and joined the Wyoming National Guard, where she serves as a Behavioral Health Officer. She has received extensive training in trauma-informed practices and provides real-life, applicable strategies to educators, parents, and mental health professionals. According to Stacy, she “wears multiple hats; international speaker, published author, a clinician, Service Member, mother, sister, daughter, friend, co-parent with ex-husband. The most important hat I wear: HUMAN.” This is a presentation that you don’t want to miss, so join us at the Big Sandy High School auditorium on Thursday evening from 5:30-7:30.
