SHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! The Easter Bunny is coming to the Big Sandy Airport on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. The Easter Bunny has been coming to Big Sandy for over 60 years. Those first years the Easter Bunny hid actual hardboiled colored eggs, candy and fruit. Now the Easter Bunny hides special prizes and candy around the fields of the airport in Big Sandy. When all the children arrive they are divided into 5 age groups from infant through 5th grade. Once the children are in their respective groups they are taken by a Rotarian to an assigned area of the airfield. At the appointed time the fire truck will sound its siren and in about 10 minutes each area is totally scoured.

The Big Sandy Barracuda Swim Team will host a fund raiser luncheon immediately afterwards at the airport. So once the candy and prizes have been collected everyone can enjoy a delightful lunch and support our local swim team.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by the Big Sandy Rotary Club. The labor and effort in putting on the event each year is done by your local Rotarians with the funding for the candy and prizes coming from the money the Rotary Club makes at its Annual Benefit Banquet each year.
