The Big Sandy Medical Center has hired an interim CEO, following the resignation of the current CEO last week. Ron Wiens, an administrator from Shodair Children's Hospital in Helena, was hired for the interim position while the BSMC Board of Directors advertise and begin a search for a permanent CEO. Mr. Wiens started work in the Big Sandy Medical Center on Monday, July 11. The medical center is remaining under local board direction as it has since its founding.
