Big Sandy has one more game before Districts

October 19, 2022

“We won in 3 sets against Box Elder on Friday night. Scores: 25-14, 25-18, 25-23” I watched the game on NFHS, and the girls took care of business. Box Elder had improved from the time before but still lost in three. The Big Sandy team Stats: Digs: 49, Assists: 21, Kills: 24, Blocks: 2, and Aces: 21

Angie Sant had 10 Digs: Assists: 20 - Jai Baumann, Kills: 9 - Malaysia Baumann, Blocks: 1 - Lindsey Cline and Angie Sant, and Aces: 4 - Malaysia Baumann.

On Saturday and Big Sandy Pioneers lost in 3. Coach McKenney said, “Unfortunately, we simply did not show up to play. We have our final match of the season on Tuesday in Centerville. This is a big match for us, and my hope is that

we come ready to attack! The District Tournament is going to be intense, and there is no telling which four teams will advance to the Divisional Tournament. We are going to work hard to prepare, and I hope the community will rally behind these girls and show up to watch them compete in Fort Benton!”

They lost to CJI 14-25, 15-25, 9-25. As a team, they had 47 digs, 18 assists, kills; 22, blocks: 5, aces: 1

Individual Eva Yeadon had 15 digs, Assists: 18 - Jai Baumann, Kills: 7 - Angie Sant and Keira Galbavy, Blocks: 4 - Angie Sant, and Aces: 1 - Jai Baumann.

I tried to watch it on NFHS, but it wasn’t there. So I can’t wait for Districts in Fort Benton this year.
