The Lady Pioneers started the season off strong, with great plays coming from Jai Baumann, Eva Wagoner, and Eva Yeadon. The Big Sandy girls started in a full-court press and played fast-paced basketball. DGS also started in a press, which Big Sandy quickly broke down, but they struggled with some quick decisions that led to turnovers, in which DGS got an early lead on the Lady Pioneers.
