The Pioneer track team was in Fort Benton and Havre this last week/weekend. At the Fort Benton meet, which had 13 teams present, the girls' varsity took 3rd place overall, and the boys' varsity took 2nd overall. At the Cal Wearley meet in Havre, which had 30 teams present, the boys' varsity took 5th place, and the girls' JV took 6th place. The Cal Wearley meet also included Unified athletes. Below are the results of those track meets:

In Fort Benton, the Men's Results in the100m: 1st place Cooper Taylor with a time of 11.4 and 3rd place Kody Strutz with a time of 11.9

In the 200m:1st place, Cooper Taylor was 25.0, and in 5th place, Kody Strutz was 25.8. In the 400m: 5th place Kody Strutz 1:00 flat.

In the Shot Put: 2nd place Wylee Snapp 40'2 feet, 9th place Ryder Galbavy 33'10 ad with PRs (Personal records): Sonny Phillips, Travis Wilford, and Dolan Sunchild. In the Discus:1st place, Wylee Snapp 128'0,3rd place Cooper Taylor is 116'8; 4th place, Ryder Galbavy is 113'7; and in 8th place, Darrell Sunchild is 95'0.

In the Javelin: 2nd place Cooper Taylor 136'5 feet, 8th place Ryder Galbavy 114'8, and with PRs: Darrell Sunchild, Travis Wilford, and Dolin Sunchild.

In the men's Long Jump, placing 10th place, Wylee Snapp, 17'8.5 feet, and with a PR: Austin Haugen.

Triple Jump: 5th place Kody Strutz 36'4.5 feet.

The women's Results in Fort Benton In the100m: 7th place Carmen Tan 14.2 seconds, and with PR's Heather Frank, and Malaysia Baumann.

In the 200m: 9th place Carmen Tan 31.8 seconds.

In the 400m: 6th place Eva Yeadon 1:1 minute, and 8th place Kaya Demontiney 1:16.

In the 800m: 3rd place Alex Worrall 2:52 and 5th place Angie Sant 2:57.

In the 1600m or mile run: 1st place Alex Worrall 6:48 and 3rd place Angie Sant 7:01.

In the 300H: 5th place Kaya Demontiney 58.0 and 6th place Mattie Gasvoda 1:00.

The Big Sandy Girls placed 3rd in the 400m relay, The members Malaysia Baumann, Heather Frank, Mattie Gasvoda, Carmen Tan 1:00

In the Triple Jump: 2nd place Jai Baumann 32'9 feet, 4th place Malaysia Baumann 32'0, and 7th place Mattie Gasvoda 29'8.

Shot Put: 6th place Keira Galbavy 26'8.5, and 9th place Tori Dixon 24'11

Discus:4th place Keira Galbavy 66'3

Javelin: 4th place Eva Yeadon 91'11, 7th place Angie Sant 86'1, and PR: Tori Dixon, and Mattie Gasvoda

High Jump:1st place Eva Yeadon 4'10

Long Jump: 3rd place Jai Baumann 14'6.75, and 10th place Malaysia Baumann 13'5.5.

According to Brian Campbell it was a great race day. "what a beautiful day we were able to have for the Cal Wearley Memorial. It was one of the nicest days I can remember for the meet and I have been involved in it for twenty years." As an example of how large the track meet was there were 95 male athletes that ran in the 100 meter event. If you placed in the top ten in any event that was a great.

At the Cal Wearley track meet in Havre on Saturday in the Men's Results100m: 5th place Cooper Taylor 11.6.

In the 200m: 5th place Cooper Taylor 24.2

In the 400m: both Kody Strutz and Austin Haugen had PR's.

Shot Put: 2nd place Wylee Snapp 43'9

Unified Men's Results: Sonny Phillips took first in the 100m, Shot Put, and Long Jump.

In the Women's Varsity results: 100m: Jai Baumann got a PR.

800m: 5th place Alex Worrall 2:44 and 9th place Angie Sant 2:29.

1600m: 5th place Alex Worrall 6:14, and 6th place Angie Sant 6:24.

300H: 10th place Kaya Demontiney 55.7 and Jenny Sant got a PR.

1600 relay: 7th place Mattie Gasvoda, Kaya Demontiney, Angie Sant, Jenny Sant 4:57.

Javelin: 9th place Angie Sant 90'09.

Long Jump; Kaya Demontiney got a PR.

Triple Jump: 7th place Jai Baumann 30'11.75, and 9th place Malaysia Baumann 30'04.25
