Ruth Elizabeth Kuusisto of Whitehall passed away Saturday afternoon, April 1, 2023 in Continental Care and Rehab Center in Butte, Montana. Ruth was born on September 17, 1935 in Great Falls to John & Mary Jorgenson. Ruth had 2 brothers John & Marten, and a sister Jean.

Ruth attended school in Great Falls and Big Sandy Montana. Ruth married twice, the second marriage to Ronald Kuusisto in Butte on December 28, 1973. Ruth had five children John, Mary Ellen, Kathy, Shirley and Gerald Reed.

Ruth was a longtime and active member of Hiawatha Council #4, Degree of Pocahontas, she worked as a cook/chef at many area restaurants and several nursing homes.

Cremation has taken place and mass at Saint Margaret Mary church and interment of ashes will be in Big Sandy June 10th at 1 PM.

Ruth lost her parents, her siblings, her husband Ron, three infant children, her son John Reed, and daughter Shirley Huntley. She is survived by her daughter(s) Mary Ellen Parrson of Billings, Kathy Reed of Butte, and son and daughter-in-law Gerald and Patti Reed of Whitehall, eight grand children, great and great, great grandchildren, cousins Bev Phalen, Cheryl Povolvick, Jerry Brewer. Nephew Larry (Tina) Brewer, nieces Susan ( Pat) Hamilton and Sherry Fogerty.
