Barracudas compete in the Bitteroot

The Bitterroot Swim Team hosted in Hamilton over the weekend with the Barracudas placing 6th over all. After just one solid week of practice in the books and with only 8 kids from the team in attendance, the Barracudas still managed to make a name for themselves with a combined team score of 174 points.

Henry Merrill led the way for the Barracudas with 40 individual points, followed by Harley LaBuda with 30, Raea Pansch, Dorothea Merrill, and Levon Myers each chipping in 22, Waylon Myers with 13, Eden Pansch with 11, and Astrid Ketchum with an assist in the first place finish of the 200m free mixed medley along with her teammates Henry, Levon, and Raea.

Women

Dorothea Merrill 10u: 50m free-6th, 100m free-6th, 50m back-5th

Eden Pansch 11-12: 50m free-9th, 100m free-6th

Raea Pansch 11-12: 50m free-7th, 100m free-5th, 50m back-5th

Harley LaBuda 13-14: 50m free-2nd, 100m breast-4th, 100m free-4th

Men

Waylon Myers 8u: 25m free-9th, 50m free-6th, 25m back-11th

Levon Myers 11-12: 50m free-4th, 100m free-5th, 50m back-8th

Henry Merrill 11-12: 50m free-1st, 100m free-2nd, 50m fly-1st

The Barracudas will be in Cut Bank this coming weekend as the Penguins host the third meet of the 2023 season for the western division.
