The Big Sandy Mountaineer -

It was an exciting weekend in Shark water as two little Barracudas made their debut on the blocks in Cut Bank. Eight year old Brookelyn Cline and four year old Lena Ray (with the guidance of Jai Baumann) were all smiles as they dove head first in to their first-ever swim meet. The Barracudas placed fifth out of eight teams, collectively scoring 370 points.

Leading the charge was Harley LaBuda with 42 points, earning herself high point honors for the women's division. Darrell Sunchild with 33 points, Jai Baumann and Astrid Ketchum each with 32 and Mackenzie Werk and T'Gan Ketchum each with 31, all proved to be forces to be reckoned with for the Barracudas. Sisters Cassia and Lila Butler each added 23 points to the team score, followed by Joseph Demontiney with 21, JaiLeaina Parker with 20, and D'Aree Sunchild with 19. Kayden Parker chipped in 9, Sienna Butler tossed in 8, Bentlee Parker and Velia Demontiney each put in 3, and Amara Butler and Jewell Parker came in with the assist in the girls 8u 100m free relay's 3rd place finish, rounding out the weekends' score for the Baracudas.

The Barracudas will be in Harlem next weekend, which marks the midway point of the swim season. Only two regular meets remain before the Barracudas move on to Divisionals and State.
