Three weeks ago, the Nebraska women's volleyball team set a world record for women's sports attendance with an outstanding 92,003 people. I absolutely loved hearing this story and seeing the clips of all the people in the stands supporting this women's volleyball team which led me to think, if you have not seen the Lady Pioneer Volleyball Team yet, you need to! These ladies are showing just how tough they are mentally and physically every week. They are overcoming adversity, and showing you exactly why they are 7-1 for the season. These ladies leave it all on the court and they are so fun to watch!

The Lady Pioneers first faced off against North Star in Rudyard, and unfortunately, the broadcast kept being interrupted so I could not watch the whole game, but the Lady Pioneers won in 3 sets, with a score of 25-12, 15-23, and 25-21. When asked how she felt about the game, the coach said, "I thought we played super well against North Star both defensively and offensively. We beat them in 3, which was an improvement from our 5-set win at the very start of the season."

Team results are as follows:

Digs: 71, with Ella Yeadon, and Jai Baumann each having 17

Assists: 15, with Jai Baumann having 10

Kills: 34, with Eva Yeadon and Keira Galbavy with 10 each

Blocks: 6, with Eva YEadon, Keira Galbavy, and Tosha Allderdice all having two each

Aces: 11, with Eva Yeadon having 5

The Lady Pioneers then hosted the Lady Longhorns on Saturday which was a great game! What a battle on the court back and forth! Both coaches had to take crucial timeouts, and both teams made huge adjustments, but the Lady Pioneers showed just how resilient they are, and pulled together some hard-earned wins. After losing the first set by 4 with a score of 21-15, the Lady Pioneers came out and beat the Lady Longhorns by 25-15, 25-17, and 25-16. When asked about how she felt playing against the Lady Longhorns, the coach said, "The girls were very excited and ready to play Fort Benton. It felt like it was a long time coming! I was proud of our ability to come back, after losing the first set. This team has a winning mentality this season and they know they can bounce back. We worked hard, brought the energy, and tightened up some loose ends. This was a big win for us!"

Team Results are as follows:

Digs: 78, with Eva Yeadon and Jai Baumann each having 24

Assists: 30, with Jai Baumann having 18

Kills: 39, with Eva Yeadon having 13

Blocks: 9, with Keira Galbavy having 5

Aces: 10, with Keira Galbavy having 3
