Montana Farmers Union, in partnership with Big Sandy Medical Center and local EMS and health care professionals, hosted a Far Out & Waiting workshop in January in Big Sandy. More than 60 participants learned life-saving skills and what to do to help while waiting for EMS to arrive in rural areas during the hands-on workshop. Stop the Bleed training was provided, and attendees practiced with and received free tourniquets.
