Big Sandy High School welcomed the return of Speech, Drama, and Debate for the
2025-2026 year. The season began October 1 and ended with a run to the State Speech and
Drama Meet on January 30 to 31.
The year started with 3 members, Marquell Spotted-Horse Houle, Abbey Sietsma, and
James Calvao. The three tested the waters of competition in Dramatic Theater and Lincoln-
Douglas Debate. After several meets, events changed and both Abbey and James chose to
compete in Informative Speech. Jaeson Yirsa briefly joined the team, for one meet, in Shelby.
