Big Sandy Mill Levy Passes!

A Letter of Thanks and Appreciation from the Big Sandy School District to our Community

The Big Sandy School District owes our community and its voters and taxpayers a debt of thanks and sincere appreciation for the support that the school district and its staff and students received in the recent election. We are fortunate to have earned your continued support, and we realize how crucial that support is to our school district and its programs and the opportunities that we provide students. Your overwhelming support at the polls has given us the ability to face the inflation of goods and services that negatively impact our budget and to continue to do our absolute best without having to make difficult financial decisions. Decisions that adversely affect students.

We are fortunate to live and work in a community that stands behind us and the important work that we do for the next generation. Personally, there has not been one day in the four years that I have lived and worked in Big Sandy as your superintendent that I have not been humbled by the level of support that our school district receives from the community. Support that includes kindness and generosity of our appreciated and respected alumni, who willingly give back to their alma mater.

Not every school district and its staff and students receive the level of support that we are fortunate to have and are honored to appreciate. Many school districts throughout Montana were not as successful as we were in passing their operational levies. Those school districts are now faced with making exceedingly difficult budgetary decisions that impact students. Complex decisions that we are truly fortunate not to have to make.

In closing, thank you so very much for your continued support. We simply could not do the meaningful work that we do for our Pioneers without our community and your support.

Respectfully,

Daniel Schrock

Big Sandy School District

Superintendent
