Having worked in Big Sandy for over a year now, one thing that continually amazes me is the generosity of the people who call this town home. And by generosity, I’m not just talking about money, but of time. Big Sandy Medical Center is excited to announce the addition of a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to its medical staff. Cheyenne Feltz, PNP, a resident of Fort Benton, will be available at Big Sandy Medical Center two days a week starting in December. She will serve persons facing challenges with mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. When I walk into The Grocery Store and grab a diet coke and pringles, and the cashier rings up $4.00, that’s what I pay, and I pay it before leaving the Store. Same thing when I take my truck in for an oil change. I pay the posted price of the oil change and if the mechanic finds something else that needs fixing, I get a quote of what it’s going to cost before anything else is done to my truck. Only three days into the new year and Big Sandy Medical Center (BSMC) is celebrating the generous donation of a large corner lot located across the street from the hospital’s main facility. The donors, Lance Peterson and his sister, Michelle Wisbey are part of the larger Peterson and Pavlovick families. The property was once home to Elsie Pavlovick and after her passing, the property was inherited by her grandchildren Lance and Michelle. As most of you know, Zane Bending, NP, has accepted a position at the Great Falls Clinic. His last clinic day will be Friday, October 28th. As the clinic recruits for another provider, it will contract with Heath Horton, a Nurse Practitioner from Colorado to cover the clinic days when Krystyl Kulbeck, PA is off.
