The Big Sandy Pioneers were awarded their first conference win earlier this season when Hays/Lodge Pole forfeited the scheduled match in Hays. This past weekend the Pioneers earned their second win on the court defeating the Thunderbirds 25-20, 25-15 and 25-20 .
Senior Maddy Reichelt paced the offensive attack with six of the teams season high 23 kills. Big Sandy was highly effective from the service line as they recorded 25 aces in the contest. Senior Cheyenne Pegar and sophomore Jessica Roth each scored five aces in the win.
