It's been a busy two weeks for the Big Sandy wrestlers

The Fort Benton / Big Sandy wrestling coop has been very busy the last couple weeks. They have competed in Chester, at the Cut Bank Invitational, in Fairfield, and at the Choteau Classic. This week will be another busy week with the wrestlers at home on Thursday night 6pm in the High School Gym, then will travel to Chinook on Friday and Harlem on Saturday.

At Chester the wrestlers got 2-3 matches. Ethan Davis won all three of his matches and Connor Schnabel, Ken Todd, Landon Taylor and Jade Miller each got a win also. Then on to Cut Bank Invitation a 32 man bracketed tournament. Connor DeBruycker won four matches to place 2nd. Logan and Landon Taylor each won three matches, Ethan got two varsity and three JV wins, Connor S. and Ken each got a win. Weston Allderdice had a tough draw in the varsity tournament but was able to get 5 wins in the JV tournament.

This previous Thursday the wrestling team traveled to Fairfield. Connor S., Landon, Weston, and Matt Blansett were all 2-0 on the night. Connor D. and Josh Solf each got a win also. Then on to the Choteau Classic Friday and Saturday. Three wrestlers placed in this 16 man bracketed tournament. Landon took 3rd place, Connor D. took 4th place, and Matt placed 5th. Connor S. and Logan each got a couple wins and Josh won on of his matches in the tournament. Weston and Josh won four JV matches, Ethan won three JV matches and Owen Kaupang won one JV.
