The Big Sandy high school basketball teams began conference play this past weekend with a pair of tough road contests in Fort Benton and Chinook.
Friday the girls were defeated by the Longhorns by a score of 63-7. Saturday in Chinook the Pioneers stayed close early but Chinook eventually pulled away to earn a 51-30 win over Big Sandy.
The boys had a tough go of things as well, falling in Fort Benton 71-35 and in Chinook 68-23 to begin conference play 0-2.
