Parent's Night and Belize Fund raiser October 5

This weekend, on October 6th, is the volleyball parent’s night. The volleyball team has been working extremely hard this season and are improving so much! With the leadership of the head coach Shersteen Cline, and assistant coach Dani Norling, the team has accomplished many wins and done very well in tournaments. The volleyball girls are very excited to have their parents and the town come support them at their last home game.

Not only is parent’s night supporting the volleyball team but there will also be an area in concessions to help support the kids participating in the Belize Marine Ecology trip. There will be a booth with lots of tasty pies and vanilla ice cream. All of the money used to buy pies and ice cream will be directed to help all the kids pay for the Belize trip.

There’s lots of parents and kids that are organizing plenty of fundraisers throughout the year to help pay for this amazing trip. There’s going to be cookie dough sales, auctions, Christmas Stroll activities, and many more fundraisers for these kids. All of the people involved are really excited, especial Melanie Schwarzbach, who introduced this trip to the community and the 2016 trip to Costa Rica. All of the kids plan on working very hard to raise the money and be able to experience this great opportunity to be introduced to different culture and learn about the highlights of Belize.

Supporting and donating to this trip is a really great contribution. The Belize trip is a total of nine days where the kids will get to explore the jungle in the day and night, experience field work and learning, and be amazed by the Mesoamerican Reef! Coming to parent’s night is a great opportunity to come support the volleyball team, watch a great game, and eat some delicious pies and ice cream.
