The Big Sandy Mountaineer -

The Big Sandy Pioneer volleyball team hosted the North Start Knights on Saturday.

North Star took control early in the match, taking the opening set 25-15. Big Sandy would fall again in set number two 25-16 before dropping the third set 25-21.

Senior Jaylyn Cline led the Pioneer attack with seven Kills while junior Lainey Gregory set up the hitters with 10 assists. Amanda Cline dug up 14 balls in the match for Big Sandy.

Big Sandy falls to 2-5 in District 6C-East play and 3-7 overall and currently sit in fourth place ahead of the Chester/Joplin-Inverness Hawks and the Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds.
