Christmas Concerts bring the Joy

December 12, 2018

The k-6th Christmas concert was last Thursday, and it was a blast for both the students and the audience. The children really enjoyed their Christmas songs and dances. They sang songs including “You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch”, “If I were a reindeer”, and “Santa’s hoedown”. They sang them with joy and excitement for the Christmas season! Coming up on Thursday the fourteenth, the high school’s Christmas concert is scheduled, and the students are just as excited as the elementary kids were!

The high school choir plans on singing songs about the beauty of winter and the joy Christmas brings. Choir practices are fun for the students and coming up with choreography and ways to excite the show is a great part of the whole experience. The high school band is also preparing wonderful songs that’ll bring holiday spirits to the audience’s ears! There are trumpet specials, flute features, an oboe solo and much more. All the Christmas songs are sweet, upbeat, and fun to play.

There will also be plenty of solos and ensembles for the audience to enjoy. Flute duets, piano solos, quartets, and singing acts are all being prepared by the students in seventh through twelfth. The students are working really hard to prepare and make the concert an amazing show. Mrs. Robertson, the band and choir director, has also been working her tail off to make sure all of the students are ready and excited for the concert. The high school concert, like the elementary, will be amazing and full of Christmas celebration.
