Pioneer girls start strong but fall in losses to Denton/Geyser-Stanford & Hays/Lodge Pole
The first portion of the high school basketball season comes to a close with the Pioneers on the road Friday to take on the Denton/Geyser-Stanford Bearcats in a non-conference clash. The boys would pick up the win in overtime, topping the Bearcats 57-54. The girls played well and stayed close early, to a very good Bearcats team before falling in the end 44-25. Friday both squads would fall in tough contest against the visiting Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds. The girls were defeated 56-49 and the boys 79-63....
