The Chouteau County Fair is nearly here on Friday August 16 through August 18. It is time to get those entries made. You can find a wide variety of chances even for children to enter on the internet access chocofair.com. The following information was given to the Mountaineer by the Chouteau County Fair Board.

To enter items in the open class-Fine Art and Home Arts Departments, Floriculture, and Agriculture Departments the following is printed:

To begin the Open Class entrants will go to: http://chouteaucountyopen.fairentry.com and click on “Create a New Fair Entry Account”. (You may want to save this to your favorites). Enter and confirm your email address; Click on Find your Fair By State; Montana; Scroll down to 2019 Chouteau County Fair click:

1. Begin Registration Q: Do you want to Register an Individual

2. Individual

3. Fill in all three questions

4. If the individual is already in the system check address and enter home phone only (if unknow type 406-622-0000

5. Continue to Entries

6. Click on Add and Entry

7. All open class entries will be found under the Static tab (second from the bottom)

8. Pick a Department example: Fine Arts

9. All Classes of the Fine Arts Department will display

10. They are listed alphabetically scroll until you find the correct class and click on it

11. Click on continue-there will not be any questions so click Back to Entries (there will not be any new entries for the Education Department as this is closed to anyone older than 6th grade)

At this point if the individual has more entries click on add an entry and complete them using this same process.

If you have no more entries for that individual, then move on to the next student by clicking on the Register another exhibitor tab and repeat 1-11

If you do not find a class for the individuals entry try another department some artwork may be listed in Home Arts For example-Leather work and some painting and stitchery are listed there. Scroll through the classes in the Fine Arts Department, Home Art Department to familiarize yourself with the options. If you cannot find a good fit for the description, then click on any other and specify what it is on the green sheet.
