Kris Kulbeck helps design a "game-changer"

September 9, 2020

You may have all seen this on TV Friday night but did not realize Big Sandy’s own Kris Kulbeck partially designed it. The TV story was about technology using UV lights to Kill COVID-19 germs.

Kart Kleen Technologies showcased the system, “Freq Kleen-e” at Hellgate Middle school, which kills 99.9 percent of all bacteria and germs. It was the first working model in action. It takes 28 seconds to kill all bacteria and germs. They use a conveyor belt to place objects on, it then passes through an enclosed UV light tunnel and then it comes out on the other side, where the children pick up their items completely free of bacteria and germs!

They reached out to MMC Inc. in Belgrade to manufacture it. Kris Kulbeck has a degree a Mechanically Engineer degree and works for MMC, which built the system. It’s exciting stuff for Kris Kulbeck to be a part of such a powerful and positive invention.

Kart Kleen started by designing a machine that would kill all germs on shopping carts. Most people think if you wipe a shopping cart handle with a disinfectant, the germs are killed, but it takes 10 minutes for any chemical to kill bacteria or germs. Therefore, building something that only takes 28 seconds to kill germs is a game changer!
