I'm not from Big Sandy. Yes, I have lived here for 53 years, but Homecoming is for those who grew up here, making lifelong friends from childhood. However, I enjoyed Homecoming this year. I spent my time taking pictures of the evenst and listening to conversations. I'm sorry I wasn't trying to eavesdrop. It's hard not to hear conversations. Genuine laughter, hugs galore. Even the kids of former residents talked to me about how they were enjoying the weekend.
