    The young people from the Big Sandy Rock School played a show at Pep's on Friday evening. The students were divided into two groups based on age groups and played a mix of covers and original music.   • Town Council informed about Deer Control Hunt in Big Sandy

    The Town of Big Sandy held its regular City council meeting on February 16th. The Public Comments section noted that the Fish and Game would be coming to Big Sandy to kill up to 50 deer and donate the meat to local food banks. It will be a controlled hunt; no one else can shoot off a gun within the city limits. It is believed to be better than car accidents that have happened.     The Pioneers started their District play, winning against Chinook Thursday night. Senior Kody Strutz set the tone with great passing, which led to several assists to his teammates. He also hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer. Braydon Cline, Issac Pedraza, and Cooper Taylor all contributed offensively.     Coach Travis Baumann said, “The Lady Pioneers season ended last weekend at the District 9C tournament. The girls fought hard all weekend but close loses to Box Elder and Fort Benton ended their season. They showed resilience and a lot of heart during the tournament.
