    Covid concerns have dented the holiday season yet again this year. Amongst other postponed or cancelled events, Breakfast with Santa has take the year off. However, Tim Tucker and Gena Montgomery are saving a little corner of Christmas for the town of Big Sandy.     Time for a family activity. The Big Sandy Mountaineer is sponsoring a Christmas House contest made with gingerbread or pretzels. Only one house per family, please. The base of the house should be 12 inches by 12 inches. Delivered it to Black Granary The Bakery so they can be on display. Houses should be fully decorated and delivered by December 18.     After months of evening practices and line memorizing, the Big Sandy Community Theater presented two showings of Oz, with a surprise double feature of The Tortoise and the Hare 2: This Time It's Personal. The shows were staged at the Big Sandy Auditorium on Friday (the 3rd) at 7 and Saturday (the 4th) at 3. Both were well attended and garnered significant laughs and encouragement from the attendees.     There were 21 guests present at the Medical Center Annual Meeting, which was held at their new building across the street from the dining room and kitchen. The audit was a clean audit with no journal entries. Leah Griffin, CEO of the Big Sandy Medical Center, mentioned the BSMC Board of Directors entered into a contract with Cypress Healthcare at the direction of Leah Griffith, CEO, in February 2021.     The Big Sandy Pioneer Wrestling team has three boys. Darryl Sunchild is coming back from an injury he sustained in football season. Tucker Taylor, the coach, said, "The big thing, my goal from him--I'm mostly concerned he gets back healthy. Whether he sets his feet on the wrestling mat or not.
