Charna Ophus Seibert Faces Her Greatest Challenge!

September 12, 2018

Charna Ophus Seibert Benefit Quilt Raffle will be held on September 20, Charna's Birthday. Charna's doctor told her to celebrate life as her cancer will be a struggle to overcome. Charna is celebrating and embracing life.

Charna will be travelling to Germany soon to receive treatment which is not paid for by insurance. This treatment will need to be paid for prior to receiving the treatment.

To support Charna there has been two bank accounts created, one at Wells-Fargo and one at Independence Bank in Havre. Also, if you want to purchase a ticket for $10 to give yourself a chance to win a number or prizes you can contact Gwen Ophus: 378-2666; Demra Brown: 378-2166; Mary Ophus: 378-2130; and Jolene Ophus at 406-265-7507.

On display at Wells Fargo Bank in Big Sandy is a beautiful purple handmade quilt donated by Gwen Ophus, and a hand-made crocheted pink breast cancer awareness afghan by Nora Grubb. Phyllis Pegar Gagner donated 2 breast cancer awareness mats in honor of her mother Ruth Pegar.

Coach Chris Mouat of the Northern Skylight Girls Basketball Program at Northern Montana College has donated a full admission to a Skylights Middle School Basketball camp for grades 6-8th. This includes dorm stay and all meals.

They have also give the admission to a Youth Basketball Kids camp for K-5th grade. Northern will also donate a brand new #22 Skylight Jersey which is the jersey number Charna Ophus wore when she played at Northern. Winner will select the size.

Please help Charna face this challenge. In the future Charna will be sharing her philosophy towards life. You will find her inspirational!
