Ten they traveled north to play in the North Star Showcase and ended up with a 3-way tie for first place in our pool. It came down to point differentials, which landed us in 2nd place. We then played a best of 3 matches against the

number 2 seed from the other pool, which was Centerville. We beat them in two sets. We finished 3rd in the tournament overall out of 12 teams.

Big Sandy beat Cut Bank JV 30-19. Big Sandy won over Great Falls Central Varsity 30-12. Valier lost to Big Sandy 3-13, as did Hays 30-17.

The only loss Big Sandy had was against Power-Dutton-Brady, 13-30.

Big Sandy went on to play Centerville again, and revenge was sweet as Big Sandy beat Centerville in two, 25-14 and 25-15!

As you can see by the scores, the girls had fun during the tournament. It was a long day of playing games, but it was worth it as they continued to build their confidence. Coach McKenney said, "We lost a tough match against Chinook this week. Our serving really killed us, which was disappointing. Chinook came ready to play, and we did not rise to the occasion. We then lost a close 5-set match against Centerville. While we did not play to our full potential, I was proud of our comeback in the 4th set. Anytime a match goes to 5 sets, it's anyone's game at that point. Losing 15-17 is tough, but luckily, we had the opportunity to play Centerville in the North Star Showcase the next day. We beat them in a best of 3 matches, which felt good. We have a huge week ahead, and I hope our wins on Saturday will give us the confidence we need to perform

well."
