The bench was purchased using funds from an AgWest Rural Community Grant the club received. The idea for the project came from the club’s focus on giving back to the community in a simple, meaningful way. The Sunshine Snippers 4-H Club is bringing Easter fun to the community once again with their third annual "Egg My Yard" fundraiser, this year supporting the Chouteau County Cancer Support Group. Each year, the club chooses a local organization to benefit, making this fundraiser a tradition of giving back and spreading joy in the community. 4-H is the largest out of school youth development program in the state of Montana. Currently there are over 19,000 youth 4-H members stretching across Montana's 56 counties. 4-H wouldn't be possible without the dedicated MSU Extension personnel and the 4,000 certified volunteers throughout Montana. The Sunshine Snippers 4-H Club kicked off the new 4-H year in October with the annual awards ceremony in Fort Benton. Members received numerous individual awards and the club took home several group awards; Horse Herdsmanship, Swine Herdsmanship and Beef Herdsmanship.
