    Summer is finally here! It has been along winter and it is time for fun in the sun. The Big Sandy Pool is a great place to spend that time with friends and to cool off on the hot days. The pool isn’t quiet ready for our usual June 1st opening. We have hit some snags this year. We are having some trouble finding Lifeguards to fill positions. We usually are good with 8 lifeguards and some years we have had 10. This year we have 6 so far and trying to find an additional 2 at least. This problem could impact our hours of operation.     FE Miley Elementary bid farewell to three retiring staff members last week. Cinda Pearson, Alma Terry, and Cheryl Ostrom were celebrated at their retirement party on the last day of the 22-23 school year.     The Pioneer tracksters headed to state this last weekend in, where they faced opponents from 75 Class C teams. Wendy Taylor, head coach said, "It was a fantastic year with lots of growth and success. Couldn't be prouder of all the hard work and effort from the kids to become the best they could be."
