Actual construction of the building was started by the...

As addressed in previous grasshopper articles, the chances of high grasshopper pest numbers in range and cropland is high for 2021. As you consider control methods like contact or systemic insecticides, please consider biological control as part of your Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan. The naturally occurring protozoan Nosema locustae such as Semasphore effects grasshopper populations. The organism is generally mixed with bait. A grasshopper becomes infected if it ingests the bait, infected vegetation or an already diseased grasshopper....

Winter desiccation can be very hard on evergreen trees. Dry soil in winter often cannot replace the moisture trees lose to the cold dry winter air. The symptoms of winter damage and die back may not become visible until spring or summer growth begins. Winter damaged trees may only show a few dead branches or twigs. In most severe cases, the entire tree may die. Evergreen trees are more susceptible to winter desiccation than deciduous trees as the evergreens retain their needles and provide more area for moisture loss. Young evergreens are most...

As I was doing some laundry recently, after checking the laundry tag, I was reminded how many different laundry codes there are and how puzzling they can be. If you are someone who follows laundering labels, have you noticed there are no longer any words, just symbols? How can one know what they all mean? Some of you reading this are likely saying you never check the laundry label. What is the big deal? The big deal is not all fabrics are made for laundering in the washing machine and could be ruined if the laundry care label is not followed...

What was your reason for writing Grounded? "I just thought after the election that I had in 2018 that the time to write it was then. There were so things that I had seen in the Democrat party which was not voting well for the party in the middle of America." Arron Murphy was his former media person when he first got to the Senate and former chief of staff. They sat down and talked about Tester's ideals. Editor's Note Usually, on the first week of the new year, the Big Sandy Mountaineer covers a brief review of the following year's news. I have decided not to repeat that pattern, as so many of the regular yearly events have been canceled; Schools went to remote learning, and all sports were canceled, Senior trip canceled, and graduation outside....
