Big Sandy Medical Center (BSMC) is initiating a fundraising campaign for 2017. BSMC is in need of an upgrade to the radiology equipment. Several local companies, foundations, and other philanthropic groups have been contacted to assist in raising funds for this capital project. BSMC's current x-ray machine was purchased in 1989. In west-central Montana, deer and elk harvest reported through the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) hunter check stations near Anaconda, Darby and Bonner so far this season is in line with this time in 2014 and down 13 percent from last year, due largely to unseasonably warm weather and only traces of snow. It certainly won't be the same at the Senior Citizen's Center after October 31 as that will be the last day that Linda Rutledge will be in charge of the center.
